The Syrian Future Movement condemns the reports from media and human rights sources that Ahmed al-Ayada al-Dayeh, from the al-Harmoushiya area of \u200b\u200brural Deir ez-Zor, died while in the custody of the Internal Security Forces after being detained for approximately one month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His family and activists report bruises and signs of decomposition on his body, consistent with indications of torture, and that the family was not informed of his death for about 25 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In contrast, the Internal Security Forces leadership asserted that the cause of death was a “heart attack,” according to the forensic report, and that the young man was detained on charges of belonging to a cell affiliated with Iranian militias. They also noted that he had previously worked for the Air Force Intelligence Directorate of the ousted regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We in the Syrian Future Movement, while respecting the security establishment’s account, emphasize that the absence of an independent and transparent investigation renders any version of events unbelievable. Furthermore, the delay in reporting the death constitutes a grave violation of human rights. Therefore, we demand:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n The Syrian Future Movement notes that this is not the first such case. The Syrian Network for Human Rights’ quarterly report (April 2026) indicated that the governorates of Deir ez-Zor and Quneitra recorded the highest number of arbitrary arrests, totaling at least 210 cases across Syria, 122 of which were attributed to Syrian government forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Syrian Future Movement warns that the continuation of these practices\u2014namely, extrajudicial detention, delays in reporting, and the absence of accountability\u2014reproduces the culture of impunity that the revolution sought to overthrow and undermines trust between citizens and the new state institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We emphasize that the narrative of “individual violations” or “exceptions” is unacceptable. We further stress that the recurrence of these incidents necessitates structural reform in the justice and security sectors. Therefore, we propose the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n The Syrian Future Movement reiterates that protecting the dignity of Syrians is a responsibility we all share.
