The Syrian Future Movement followed with great interest the official announcement of the launch of the first Aleppo University International Science Week, which began on Monday, April 20, 2026, under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Marwan al-Halabi. The week, which runs until April 24, features over 1,000 lecturers and researchers from within Syria and abroad, and includes 24 specialized conferences in various scientific fields, in addition to medical, technological, engineering, and cultural exhibitions, as well as poetry readings and diverse intellectual events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement commends this pioneering scientific initiative and considers the convening of this week, the first of its kind at the level of Syrian universities, a positive indicator of the return of academic life to normalcy and the opening of educational institutions to the world after years of isolation and destruction left by the former regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We believe that the participation of this large number of researchers from various countries reflects the growing confidence in the new Syria and its ability to host international scientific events, and confirms that the Syrian university is regaining its leading role as a beacon of science and knowledge and a center of cultural influence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
