The Syrian Future Movement alerts influential powers and the international community to the collapse of the medicinal and aromatic plants sector and the genetic resources of strategic Syrian crops, which once constituted a major economic pillar. Statistics indicate a decline in olive, pistachio, and citrus production ranging from 40% to 60% in some areas due to the lack of agricultural technical support and the destruction of irrigation networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement emphasizes that the scorched-earth policy pursued during the years of conflict has left catastrophic environmental consequences that will plague Syria for decades.
