The Syrian Future Movement is following with great interest the statement issued today, March 11, 2026, by the “Revolutionary League in Raqqa,” which announced its rejection of the parliamentary elections scheduled for Raqqa Governorate. The statement noted the inclusion of candidates who do not represent the aspirations of the people and the exclusion of “free revolutionaries known for their revolutionary work,” in addition to observations regarding the electoral mechanism, the surrounding political and administrative circumstances, and the extent to which the process represents the various segments of society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement views this situation as a legitimate expression of widespread concerns among revolutionaries and activists in Raqqa and other areas, especially given reports of over 50 members withdrawing from the electoral body in protest against the selection mechanism and its lack of transparency and integrity.
