The Syrian Future Movement welcomes the launch, on March 11, 2026, by the Syrian Ministry of Agriculture of the national platform “Ghiath” for monitoring and analyzing rainfall, in cooperation with the Madad Foundation for Development and Peacebuilding (MDP), as a significant step towards adopting a digital transformation approach in agricultural and climate management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement views this platform, which relies on a network of 166 active monitoring stations distributed across various Syrian regions, as a modern tool that provides accurate and reliable daily data. This includes rainfall reports, drought monitoring, a supplemental irrigation calculator, interactive maps, and historical statistical analysis, enabling farmers and technical personnel to make informed decisions that enhance agricultural productivity and reduce the risks of climate variability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement commends this initiative as part of national efforts to develop the agricultural and climate data system.
