We see this day as a call for us, as Syrians, to rediscover the essence of our shared identity, nourished by the values \u200b\u200bof humanity derived from the teachings of our religion, and rejecting all forms of violence and extremism that have torn apart our social fabric for decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement envisions a new Syria as a model for a nation that transcends the wounds of the past, where everyone\u2014Muslims, Christians, and all the sons and daughters of the Syrian people\u2014cooperates to build a society based on justice and equality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Violent extremism, fueled by years of tyranny and chaos, is nothing but a common enemy that threatens our collective existence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We, as Syrians, categorically reject it, drawing inspiration from the national spirit that united us in our peaceful revolution. We are committed to promoting education and dialogue as tools to prevent its spread, because our homeland is not merely a piece of land, but a covenant among its people to preserve human dignity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this context, the Syrian Future Movement commends the ongoing efforts to integrate military forces and rebuild security institutions, as outlined in the comprehensive agreement signed on January 30, 2016, between the interim government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). This agreement includes a permanent ceasefire, the withdrawal of forces from the front lines, and the gradual reorganization of military units within the framework of the Syrian Army (including the formation of a military division comprising three SDF brigades in the Jazeera region and an additional brigade in Kobani within the Aleppo Division). It also includes the integration of local civilian and security institutions into the national structure, guarantees for the civil and educational rights of Kurds, and facilitation of the return of displaced persons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We view these steps as tangible progress towards unifying Syrian territory and strengthening stability. They directly contribute to preventing any security vacuum that extremists might exploit to regroup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement envisions Syria as a beacon of peace in the Middle East, where preventing extremism becomes an integral part of our domestic and foreign policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We will work to build strong institutions that rely on technology and education to address the root causes of extremism and strengthen international partnerships to exchange expertise, so that our youth become the architects of a future based on innovation, not violence. We also affirm that the future Syria is a homeland where diversity flourishes as a strength and pluralism is celebrated as a source of inspiration, becoming a global model for peaceful coexistence that protects our children and future generations from the dangers of hatred and division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement emphasizes that our shared values \u200b\u200bstem from our common spiritual roots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Islam, the Holy Quran commands us: \u201cAnd hold fast, all of you, to the rope of Allah, and do not be divided among yourselves\u201d (Quran 3:103), a call for unity and a rejection of all that divides the nation, including extremism that distorts the image of our true religion. In Christianity, Jesus Christ calls us: \u201cBlessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God\u201d (Matthew 5:9), a message urging us to build peace and reject violence as a means to achieve our goals. These shared values\u2014compassion, love, and justice\u2014are the foundation upon which we build our society, where religion becomes a source of inspiration for peace, not conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement calls upon all Syrians and the international community to join us in these efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
