As part of our unwavering commitment to strengthening grassroots support and community organization during Syria’s transitional phase, and as we strive to build a solid popular base founded on social solidarity and the active participation of all citizens, the Popular Base Office of the Syrian Future Movement expresses its deep appreciation for the pioneering humanitarian campaign launched in northwestern Syria. The “Heating Caravan” was launched on Friday, January 16, 2026, under the supervision of the Syrian Petroleum Company and the Ministry of Energy, in partnership with the Emergency Response Team and the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor, with the participation of Minister of Energy Mohammed al-Bashir, along with company officials and representatives of local organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The campaign aims to distribute heating supplies to more than 14,500 displaced families in camps in rural Idlib, starting with the city of Sarmada and the Khirbet al-Jouz and al-Kamouna camps, with operations to be extended to other camps in rural Idlib and Aleppo in the coming days. This initiative comes as part of the “Loyalty to Idlib” campaign and the “Million Dollar Initiative,” in response to the damage inflicted on more than 20 camps by the recent rainstorm. The Syrian Civil Defense carried out 129 field responses during the storm, while maintaining a state of readiness to address any emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
