Dr. Zaher Badran, head of the Syrian Future Movement, participated in a commemorative event held on Sunday evening, December 28, 2025, at the Damascus Opera House. The event, titled “Civil Society: A Partner in Hope\u2026 A Partner in Pain,” was organized by the Union of Charitable Societies in Damascus and its countryside in cooperation with the Ministries of Social Affairs and Labor and the Ministry of Culture, to celebrate the first anniversary of the liberation of Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attending the event alongside Dr. Badran was Mr. Jumaa Muhammad Lahib, Director of the Research and Studies Department at the Scientific Office of the Syrian Future Movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event highlighted the role of civil society and charitable organizations during the years of the Syrian revolution. It honored 63 individuals who had been released from the prisons of the former regime, as well as the families of martyrs working in this sector, while also shedding light on the challenges they faced and the sacrifices they made for freedom and dignity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Syrian Future Movement, through its participation in this event, affirms its commitment to supporting national efforts that promote social unity and recognize the sacrifices of Syrians, and renews its call to build a new Syria on the foundations of democracy, justice and transparency, in a transitional phase that meets the aspirations of the Syrian people for a prosperous future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
