In this context, we note the Sultanate of Oman’s provision of electrical generators to the Public Corporation for Drinking Water, with the goal of enhancing the continuity of water services in several areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We thank our sister nation, the Sultanate of Oman, for this support. While acknowledging its temporary importance in addressing the chronic energy and water crises, we emphasize that it serves as a reminder of the need to critically examine the excessive reliance on foreign aid, which can hinder the development of sustainable self-reliance and reinforce dependency rather than economic independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement, as a national, civil political entity born from the Syrian revolution, reiterates its condemnation of the authoritarian legacy that led to the deterioration of infrastructure. It calls for a critical national vision focused on rebuilding Syria through domestic investments and balanced partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the current transitional phase, international aid should serve as a bridge to self-reliant development, not a substitute for it, with a focus on developing laws and legislation that promote local investment and transparency to ensure the equitable distribution of resources. We also emphasize that the Syria of the future deserves a sovereign economic system based on the capabilities of its people, free from dependencies that could perpetuate structural weaknesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement reaffirms our statement published on our official website, calling for the importance of sustainable development and transitional justice as the foundation for building a strong state, and advocating for the “preparation of legislation specific to investment funds,” published on December 21, 2025. In that statement, we stressed the importance of economic legislation in promoting growth and creating sustainable job opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement calls on the transitional government and international bodies to transform aid into joint projects that enhance Syrian capabilities, with a focus on transparency and national participation in resource management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
