On this blessed day, December 25th, when our Syrian churches celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ \u2013 the messenger of love, peace, and light \u2013 the Syrian Future Movement extends its sincerest congratulations and blessings to our Christian brothers and sisters throughout Syria and to all Syrian churches that follow the Western calendar and celebrate this great occasion today, including the Melkite Greek Catholic, Latin, Maronite, Syriac Catholic, Armenian Catholic, Greek Orthodox, and other churches that form an integral part of our rich national fabric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We say: A Merry Christmas, filled with hope and joy. May it bring goodness and prosperity to you and to all of Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement believes that this occasion comes at a sensitive transitional stage for Syria, a stage in which we all hope it will mark the beginning of a new era that reinforces the values \u200b\u200bof religious and cultural diversity, which has always characterized our country, and makes Syria a beacon of pluralism and mutual respect among all its components.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We in the Syrian Future Movement also emphasize the necessity of enshrining this diversity as the foundation of national unity, far removed from all forms of hypocrisy and oppression that we suffered in the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement calls on us not to deceive one another\u2014Muslims, Christians, and others\u2014with empty words and hearts filled with hatred, nor to live in a society that divides people into victors and vanquished. Rather, we aspire to be equal citizens in a country that respects human beings as human beings, after decades of being crushed and marginalized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We in the Syrian Future Movement strive for a Syria that is a global model of coexistence and pluralism, where every citizen finds their place and dignity, and builds their future with their own hands in a homeland that unites us all under the umbrella of true citizenship and social justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
