In light of the historic transformation Syria is witnessing, and with the launch of the national reconstruction phase under the leadership of President Ahmad al-Sharaa, the Syrian Future Movement welcomes the launch of the Leadership Program, a collaboration between the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Said Foundation. The program, implemented at Oxford University, aims to empower social groups affected by the war, particularly those with special needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement believes that this initiative in the new Syria represents a practical model for the transition from a nominal welfare state to a state of genuine empowerment. It also reflects the new government’s commitment to involving all segments of society in shaping the country’s future and opens the door to international partnerships based on knowledge and mutual respect, far removed from the isolation imposed by the former regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement believes this initiative is in line with the spirit of the new era, which is based on social justice, participation, and transparency. It affirms its full support for any project aimed at building the Syrian people on the foundations of dignity and empowerment, free from marginalization or political exploitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement calls for the integration of program graduates into state institutions and civil society to ensure their expertise is utilized in decision-making positions. It also calls for expanding the program to include other international universities, such as Harvard, the Sorbonne, and the Technical University of Berlin, to enhance the diversity of expertise and perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Syrian Future Movement stresses the need to launch a local version of the program within Syria in cooperation with national universities to disseminate the culture of leadership on a broad scale. It also recommends establishing a national network of community leaders, including program graduates, to work on development projects in all governorates. It also recommends linking the program to reconstruction projects so that community leaders have a direct role in shaping local policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
