This plan included setting a timetable for selecting subcommittees, receiving nominations, and issuing the final lists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-we-previously-addressed-this-issue-in-two-policy-papers\">We previously addressed this issue in two policy papers:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&#8220;The Syrian People&#8217;s Assembly: Between Political Reform and the Reproduction of Centralization&#8221; \u2013 June 2025<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8220;The President Submits the Final Version of the Interim Electoral System to the People&#8217;s Assembly&#8221; \u2013 July 2025<br>In these papers, we emphasized that any electoral process that is not built on the foundations of fair and inclusive representation and does not guarantee the true independence of institutions risks becoming a re-production of central authority, far from the aspirations of Syrians for political change.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The Syrian Future Movement notes the postponement of the governorates of As-Suwayda, Hasakah, and Raqqa from the current electoral plan until the appropriate climate is in place. We recognize that these areas remain outside the state&#8217;s administrative control, and we are also aware of the complexities of the security and political situation in these areas. We believe that their absence from the electoral process poses a challenge to the principle of national inclusiveness and calls for consideration of consensual mechanisms that ensure the symbolic and realistic participation of their citizens in public life, reflecting the country&#8217;s unity and diversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Syrian Future Movement listened carefully to the briefing provided by the official spokesperson for the High Elections Commission, Dr. Nawar Najma, and agrees with everything it contains regarding the reasons for postponing the elections in these governorates, as well as the motives and objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-accordingly-the-syrian-future-movement\">Accordingly, the Syrian Future Movement:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Renews its call for the adoption of a transitional electoral system that takes into account geographic and political balance and paves the way for an inclusive founding phase.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demands the involvement of civil and societal forces in shaping the transitional phase, free from partisan dominance or institutional exclusion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>He emphasizes that the Interim People&#8217;s Assembly must be a step toward building legitimate institutions, not merely an administrative measure that perpetuates division or reproduces power.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Syrian Future Movement believes that the path to stability begins with recognizing all Syrians and striving to represent them according to a comprehensive national
