the attacks on Syrian Arab Red Crescent volunteers in Sweida"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Syrian Future Movement follows with deep concern and condemnation the statement issued by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) on July 19, 2025, in which the organization expressed its &#8220;deep regret and sadness over the recent developments in southern Syria,&#8221; noting that &#8220;its volunteers and facilities were exposed and its neutrality violated during their response to the events in Sweida and Daraa,&#8221; including the shooting of an ambulance, the burning of a field warehouse, and deliberate violations against humanitarian workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-movement-affirms-based-on-its-commitment-to-national-and-humanitarian-principles-the-following\">The movement affirms, based on its commitment to national and humanitarian principles, the following:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The attacks on Syrian Arab Red Crescent workers, including the volunteer whose humiliation was captured in a circulating video, constitute a grave violation of the principle of humanitarian neutrality and the provisions of international law, most notably the Fourth Geneva Convention.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These violations, regardless of the nature of the perpetrators or their motives, demonstrate a dangerous decline in respect for the civilian humanitarian space and require urgent and deterrent accountability for all those involved in incitement, execution, or complicity through silence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The absence of a firm official response from the relevant authorities undermines public confidence in the seriousness of any political or security understandings being promoted and opens the way for further chaos at the expense of innocent lives and the safety of relief groups.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The disappearance of the head of the Syrian Civil Defense&#8217;s Emergency Response Center during a UN-mandated mission in Sweida demonstrates that the targeting is not limited to a single organization, but rather extends to the entire Syrian-international humanitarian community.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-accordingly-the-syrian-future-movement-calls-for-the-following\">Accordingly, the Syrian Future Movement calls for the following:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Neutralizing all medical and humanitarian personnel, protecting them as a national and constitutional priority, and preventing conflict zones from being turned into arenas for the abuse of those providing care and assistance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open an independent and immediate investigation into all documented violations, and make the results public to ensure justice, accountability, and the non-recurrence of crimes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Involve humanitarian organizations in formulating field protection protocols in tense areas, based on publicly announced understandings supported by official and community bodies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Call on all parties to respect the work of humanitarian organizations and refrain from using volunteers or their mechanisms as a vehicle for incitement or messages of force.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Syrian Future Movement, while expressing its full solidarity with all workers in the relief and medical sectors, believes that rebuilding the Syrian state does not begin with force, but rather with human dignity, respect for those who risk their lives to save
