<\/p>\nIn light of the current circumstances Syria is going through, and the urgent need to unify national democratic efforts, a virtual meeting of the Syrian Democratic Power was held on Sunday, April 21, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. via Zoom. During the meeting, a new vision was presented, representing a roadmap for national democratic action. Dr. Zaher Baadarani, President of the Syrian Future Movement, was selected as the rotating president of the Syrian Democratic Power.<\/p>\n
The Syrian Future Movement affirms its full commitment to the principles of the approved vision, which aims to build a democratic civil state\u2014a state of citizenship, justice, and the restoration of rights.<\/p>\n
The Syrian Future Movement emphasizes the unity of Syria\u2014its land and people\u2014and upholds the principles of democracy and political pluralism as fundamental pillars for state-building.<\/p>\n
The Syrian Future Movement rejects all forms of authoritarianism or political domination and seeks to promote cooperation among all components of the Syrian Democratic Power to achieve a unified vision.<\/p>\n
The Syrian Future Movement stresses the importance of calling for an inclusive national dialogue in Damascus, involving all Syrian parties that believe in democratic action, while avoiding the language of treason and exclusion.<\/p>\n
The Syrian Future Movement believes that strengthening national unity through building bridges of trust between the various components of Syrian society, and rejecting any sectarian or denominational discourse, is the foundation of any joint action.<\/p>\n
The Syrian Future Movement considers the selection of its President, Dr. Zaher Baadarani, as the rotating president of the Syrian Democratic Power, a mandate to unite efforts in order to make this phase successful and to shape a solid democratic future for Syria.<\/p>\n
The Syrian Future Movement extends its gratitude to all the forces and entities that placed their trust in Dr. Zaher Baadarani and in the Syrian Future Movement to lead the meeting with shared responsibility and collective success.<\/p>\n
