The International Day for the Abolition of Slavery, December 2, marks the adoption of the United Nations General Assembly’s Convention for the Suppression of the Traffic in Persons and the Exploitation of the Prostitution of Others, resolution 317 (15th session) dated December 2, 1949.
This day focuses on eradicating contemporary forms of slavery, such as human trafficking, sexual exploitation, the worst forms of child labor, forced marriage, and the recruitment of children for use in armed conflicts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Syrian Future Movement adopts resolutions for the abolition of both ancient and modern slavery and supports combating them in Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Syrian Future Movement views the grave violations in our country, including forms of modern slavery, as a reminder of the importance of this occasion and its noble goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Syrian Future Movement calls on the international community to intensify its efforts to eliminate all forms of slavery, forced labor, and human trafficking and to provide the necessary support to the people suffering from these scourges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
