We received a statement today, Monday, November 3, 2024, from the “Ukrainian Center for Communication and Dialogue,” titled: (Statement from the Center after its headquarters was damaged by Russian attacks on the capital, Kyiv).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Syrian Future Movement strongly condemns the targeting of Ukrainian civilian centers by Russian forces, which affected the Ukrainian Center for Communication and Dialogue in Kyiv yesterday. This center is renowned globally for supporting key humanitarian issues, including the cause of the oppressed Syrian people striving for freedom and the desired peaceful political change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Syrian Future Movement condemns the repeated Russian attacks on civilian and residential buildings in Ukraine, noting the historical precedent of the Russian army and affiliated armed groups targeting Syrian civilian residences since 2015 to this day. Moreover, we highlight Russia’s unwavering military support for the Syrian regime against its people under the pretense of combating terrorism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Syrian Future Movement calls for a clear distinction between the targeting of (conflicting military barracks and armed groups) and (civilian and non-military sites). We urge Russia to respect countries’ right to self-determination and the sanctity of civilian lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Syrian Future Movement calls for accountability for all involved in targeting civilians, civilian buildings, political groups, popular centers, or infrastructure, as part of a systematic extermination war and scorched-earth policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Syrian Future Movement commends the Ukrainian Center for Communication and Dialogue’s calls to activate the role of the United Nations and its institutions to establish effective mechanisms to end wars, prevent civilian targeting, and resolve conflicts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Syrian Future Movement supports the Ukrainian Center\u2019s call to end the wars in Ukraine, Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, Sudan, and all conflict zones worldwide, advocating for fair and lasting peace settlements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Syrian Future Movement values the Center\u2019s role as a platform promoting virtuous values, rejecting hatred, extremism, violence, and terrorism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
