On Saturday, 23 Rabi\u2019 al-Thani 1446 AH, corresponding to October 26, 2024, a statement was issued by the Syrian Islamic Council under the title: “The Vision of the Syrian Islamic Council for National Consensus.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The statement outlined ten principles for national consensus according to the Council’s respected vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Syrian Future Movement, while we call on all religious institutions to refrain from engaging in political work to preserve their purity, leadership role, and to prevent exploitation or misuse of positions on their behalf, we support the esteemed religious institutions and similar entities in contributing to theoretical national frameworks that pave the way for a viable and sustainable solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indeed, in the Syrian Future Movement, we have adopted these ten principles according to our vision and approach, published on our official website under “The Movement’s Papers,” particularly in the paper titled, “The Syrian Future Movement and National Consensus<\/a>,” published on February 14, 2024. We also emphasize the importance of transitional justice mentioned in the Council’s statement, as it is the cornerstone of any forthcoming national consensus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also reiterate the importance highlighted by the Syrian Islamic Council\u2019s statement regarding inclusive dialogue among all Syrians to achieve a genuine national solution that is neither compromised nor dictated by external forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Syrian Future Movement, we advocate for dialogue on three simultaneous levels:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. First Level:<\/strong> Dialogue among revolutionary and opposition forces in northern and southern Syria, along with Syrian national forces abroad, to avert the repercussions of the ongoing collapse, which we feel is imminent, despite many feeling a false sense of security and power.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Second Level:<\/strong> Dialogue between these forces and “Hay\u2019at Tahrir al-Sham” and “Syrian Democratic Forces” to resolve outstanding issues, reduce hostility between the SDF and Turkey, normalize relations between HTS and the international community, and foster collaboration between these groups and other revolutionary and national opposition forces.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Third Level: <\/strong>Dialogue between all these parties and the Syrian regime (directly or through intermediaries) to establish a viable Syrian framework for implementing transitional justice as a foundation for preserving the state and the nation. While we believe that inclusive dialogue may not yield results due to numerous internal and external factors, we see no alternative path.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Thus, in the Syrian Future Movement, we adopt this vision and strive to contribute to finding a Syrian-Syrian solution free from foreign intervention. We extend our hand and support any direction or path aimed at “national consensus,” which is the only alternative to further collapse and stagnation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
