UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon briefed the UN Security Council in a closed session on the report of the UN investigation team in Syria regarding the use of chemical weapons. The report confirmed the widespread use of chemical weapons against civilians in Eastern Ghouta on August 21, 2013.
