The Syrian Future Movement completed a new training titled “Child Protection Basics” at the end of April and beginning of May 2024.
\u2606 The training targeted a number of specialists and activists, totaling (12) trainees, both male and female, with (18) training hours spread over (4) days.
\u2606 The purpose of launching the training: Building the capacities of Syrian youth in the field of (protection).
\u2606 Type of training: Physical attendance, where trainees gathered at the Syrian Future Movement office in A’azaz, north of Aleppo, and learned the following skills:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Child development<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Support circle<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. What is abuse? And where does it occur?<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Concept of exposure to danger<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Convention on the Rights of the Child<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Best interest of the child<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Discrimination<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Non-harm<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Principles of confidentiality<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. Steps of confidentiality<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  11. Code of conduct<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    \u2606 The training sessions were distributed over the days as follows:

    \u25cf Responsibility
    || Day two:
    \u25cf Abuse
    \u25cf Location and types of abuse
    \u25cf From whom and what I protect the child?
    || Day three:
    \u25cf Concept of exposure to danger
    \u25cf The child at risk
    \u25cf Convention on the Rights of the Child
    \u25cf Best interest of the child
    \u25cf Discrimination
    || Day four:
    \u25cf Non-harm
    \u25cf Confidentiality
    \u25cf Principles and steps of confidentiality
    \u25cf Breach of confidentiality
    \u25cf Code of conduct
    \u25cf Final test<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u2606 The training developed skills and capacities, and identified mistakes and difficulties to be avoided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The training concluded on the fourth day and achieved its objectives, through a survey of the trainees by evaluating the training:

    The results were positive, and they expressed that the evaluation method was excellently professional, with each trainee writing their assessment on a form that included positives, negatives of the training, and the challenges faced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
