Regarding Israel’s establishment of a military base in southern Syria
The Syrian Future Movement strongly condemns Israel’s establishment of a military base in the Quneitra countryside in southern Syria today, Friday, January 10, 2025.
The Syrian Future Movement considers this a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the Syrian Republic and a clear breach of international law and relevant United Nations resolutions, including UN Security Council Resolutions 242 and 338, as well as a violation of the Disengagement Agreement signed between Syria and Israel on May 31, 1974.
The Syrian Future Movement views this action as a dangerous escalation that threatens security and stability in the region and further complicates the humanitarian and political situation in Syria.
The Syrian Future Movement believes that Israel’s continued aggressive and expansionist policies reflect its complete disregard for the legitimate rights of the Syrian people and the international community.
The Syrian Future Movement calls on the new Syrian administration to work on preventing Israel from executing its plan to occupy new territories in Syria and urges the mobilization of all Syrian political forces to reject Israeli interventions in southern Syria.
The Syrian Future Movement urges the international community, including the United Nations and the UN Security Council, to take immediate and firm action to stop these repeated Israeli violations and to ensure respect for Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Syrian Future Movement demands the necessity of providing support to the Syrian people in facing these challenges and working toward achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the region.
The Syrian Future Movement calls on friendly and brotherly nations to show full solidarity with the Syrian people and support their right to defend their land and sovereignty.
The Syrian Future Movement urges all parties to work toward achieving stability and peace in Syria and the entire region.
