The Syrian Future Movement (SFM) is conducting an English language training.

The Syrian Future Movement (SFM) completed a new training entitled “English Language Level 1” in May 2024.
☆ The training targeted a number of teachers and university students, totaling 17 male and female trainees, with 16 hours of training spread over 5 days.
☆ The purpose of the training was to build the capacities of Syrian youth in the field of English language.
☆ Type of training: Physical attendance, where the trainees were present at the Syrian Future Movement (SFM) office in A’azaz, north of Aleppo, and learned the following skills:

  1. Letters and sounds
  2. Basic words and phrases
  3. Simple sentences
  4. Question and answer formation
  5. Basic grammar
  6. Pronunciation, reading, and writing
    ☆ The training sessions were distributed over the days as follows:
    || Day one: Trainees were introduced to:
    ● The English alphabet
    ● Types of letters in the English language
    || Day two:
    ● Most commonly used words and phrases
    || Day three:
    ● How to build simple sentences and understand parts of speech
    || Day four:
    ● Formulating questions and answers in the following tenses:
  7. Simple present and simple past
  8. Present continuous and past continuous
  9. Present perfect and past perfect
  10. Basic rules for pronunciation, writing, and reading

☆ The training evolved to enable the trainees to critique previously completed cases, noting mistakes and difficulties to avoid them.

The training concluded on the fifth day and achieved its objectives, with a survey conducted among the trainees through an evaluation of the training:
The location, the scientific material, the trainer…
The results were positive, and they expressed that the evaluation method was exceptionally professional, with each trainee writing their assessment on a form that included the positives, negatives of the training, and the challenges faced.
