The Syrian Future Movement (SFM) extends its condolences to the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, its government, and its people on the death of the Emir of the State of Kuwait, “Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.”
The Syrian Future Movement, while valuing the State of Kuwait’s religious and Arab positions on regional issues, remembers all its positive contributions towards the Syrian revolution. This includes the recent statement by Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Salem Abdullah Jaber Al-Sabah, emphasizing the importance of finding a solution to the Syrian issue “based on proper principles and frameworks and respecting the decisions of the Arab League,” which includes urging the Syrian government to take real and tangible steps towards building trust, including releasing prisoners and detainees, revealing the fate of the missing, facilitating the return of refugees and displaced persons, aiding the delivery of humanitarian assistance to all those in need in various Syrian regions, and resuming the work of the constitutional committee towards national reconciliation.
The Syrian Future Movement mourns the sixteenth Emir of Kuwait, “Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah,” who passed away at the age of 86, and hopes that his successor, “Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah,” will provide increased support for the Syrian cause in line with the stature of the State of Kuwait and its distinctive and leading reconciliatory positions.
The Syrian Future Movement wishes the State of Kuwait continued security, safety, and stability, and the same for our homeland, Syria.
