On this day in 2021, the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Syrian Arab Republic, established by the United Nations Human Rights Council, released its report during the forty-sixth session detailing the crimes of the Syrian regime and its commission of the most egregious violations of international humanitarian law against civilian populations in Syria.
