s part of the scientific office plan of the Syrian Future Movement, the first phase of the free education project for orphans in northern Syria has concluded.
The Syrian Future Movement, as part of its plan, continues its educational program to rescue orphans and children in northern Syria from child labor and school dropout, aiming to provide them with a better future. The movement believes that education is the cornerstone of societal progress and the only bridge to a better future.
It is worth mentioning that the education sector in northern Syria faces many challenges and problems.
The recurring displacement and internal migration have forced millions of Syrians to reside in refugee camps in the northern regions of the country, resulting in tens of thousands of children being deprived of their basic right to access appropriate education programs.
According to Bilal Al-Sheikh, the director of the Syrian Future Movement’s office in the region, many children have discontinued their education due to various reasons, including low living standards and the inability to afford educational supplies.
This has led to a decline in parents’ focus on their children’s education, with some children being forced into different occupations to help their families make ends meet.
The educational office of the Syrian Future Movement has developed well-planned strategies to attract children from orphanages of various age groups, particularly those residing in camps, who have dropped out of school due to multiple factors. These children have been enrolled in a compensatory education program as a first phase, where they learn reading, writing, and arithmetic in Arabic, in addition to being taught the English language.
The educational office of the Syrian Future Movement successfully completed the first session of the orphanage program and honored the participating children in a ceremony held on Monday, July 11th of the current year. The ceremony included the distribution of gifts, educational games, recreational activities, and special awards for outstanding children.
It is worth noting that the Syrian Future Movement is currently working on establishing a building and school for orphaned children, with the aim of expanding the project.
