- He was born in 1980 in the town of Sarja in the Idlib governorate in Syria.
- He grew up in Aleppo, where he completed high school, then moved to Damascus to study Islamic law, later earning a doctorate in this specialty.
- Since the beginning of the revolution in 2011, he has been involved in peaceful demonstrations and has been one of the voices calling for change and reform from a legitimate and moral standpoint.
- Abdel Moneim Zainuddin has headed the Syrian Revolution Scholars Association since 2012.
- He contributed to the establishment of military operations rooms between FSA factions and played a role in coordinating between them, especially in northern Syria.
- He delivered many revolutionary speeches in demonstrations, camps, and front lines of the confrontation and was a traveling martyr project.
- He participated in media programs that supported the revolution, and had several interviews on Al Jazeera’s Opposite Direction program, supporting the narrative of the revolution with a high spirit.
- He wrote a book titled “The Syrian Revolution. In it, he documented the most important milestones of the revolution during ten years, addressing political, military, human rights and media aspects, which has been translated into several languages.
- In his book, he devoted chapters to detention, enforced disappearance, mass displacement, and violations against civilians, making it an important reference for researchers on Syrian affairs.
- After the victory of the Syrian revolution, Abdel Moneim Zainuddin played a prominent role in accompanying the people’s joys of victory and liberation, and he had notable participation in national scientific forums such as universities and the like, with speeches that stimulate motivation and push the Syrian youth towards further progress and advancement.
- He neither held a position nor preferred to be in the decision-making capital Damascus after liberation, but wherever necessity, interest and benefit require, Abdel Moneim Zainuddin is strongly present and truly supportive.
