an introductory video about “Tawad SFM Educational schools series” in Afrin city

The suffering of children in northern Syria is increasing due to continuous displacement. This is compounded by limited educational opportunities, the distance of camps from city centers, and a lack of sufficient schools within them.

Therefore, the Syrian Future Movement (SFM) has prioritized and focused on supporting education and learning.

The SFM started its educational support activities two years ago by establishing the ‘Tawad Educational Schools’ series.
Its first step was opening its first educational center in A’azaz, north of Aleppo, followed by the construction and equipping of a second center in the ‘Taibeh Gathering’ in Afrin, which included hundreds of scattered tents.

Four classrooms with their own facilities were built there, adjacent to a mosque and a space for recreational activities.
The school was then equipped with all necessary supplies, and contracts were made with a team of teachers and administrators to ensure the smooth running of the educational process.

The school opened its doors at the beginning of the current academic year, where students received an intensive compensatory education program (as most of them had been out of school), preparing them to join the formal education program according to accredited curricula.

Now, Tawad Educational Schools are serving more than 100 families in Afrin, having saved the futures of many children by reintegrating them into the education system.

The Syrian Future Movement believes in the importance of learning and education as a means to rescue society and build a more secure, just, and prosperous future.
