Mental Health Course:
Course topics:
- Introduction to mental health (A general introduction about mental health, its importance, definition, and the criteria for good mental health in an individual).
- Adaptation and psychological resilience (Definition of adaptation and psychological resilience, elements of adaptation, factors affecting adaptation).
- Primary defense mechanisms (Definition and importance of primary defense mechanisms, presentation of their types, and explanation).
- Frustration (Definition of frustration, its key elements, characteristics, types, effects, and how to deal with it).
- Psychological conflict (Definition, types, causes, and how to get rid of it).
- Depression (Definition, symptoms, causes).
- How to maintain good mental health.
Target group:
In this training, we target adult males and females interested in understanding and developing mental health, and in developing their life skills.
Duration: 4 training hours, divided over Sunday and Monday, from 12 PM to 2 PM.
Feasibility Study for the Mental Health Course:
- Introduction: Mental health training represents understanding and addressing the challenges and problems individuals face in their lives.
- Expected benefits:
- Providing participants with information to better understand themselves, their strengths, and weaknesses, and to set goals that match their capabilities.
- Equipping participants with necessary means, methods, and therapeutic techniques to deal with frustrating situations and psychological conflict.
- Empowering participants to apply self-psychotherapy techniques with others.
- Enhancing participants’ skills to achieve good mental health and provide psychological support to others.
Objectives:
- Enabling participants to achieve good mental health.
- Spreading awareness on how to properly deal with life problems.
- Providing participants with proper ways to express suppressed emotions and negative feelings.
Funding:
Provision of trainers, training programs, logistics for training, and certificates at the end of the training by The Future Syrian Movement (SFM).
Advertising and marketing:
Using social media, online advertisements, and promoting them.
Evaluation and follow-up:
Providing questionnaires to participants before and after the course to assess the effectiveness of the training and measure improvement in psychological recovery skills.
