Without interruption, the continuous operation of the “Tawad” school chain, affiliated with the Syrian Future Movement (SFM)
Throughout the years of the Syrian Revolution, it was clear that the Syrian regime deliberately targeted the educational process in Syria, indifferent to its consequences of destroying both humans and infrastructure, including depriving children of their right to education, thus ignoring all international norms and conventions on children’s rights.
In Syria, school doors were not arbitrarily closed, but were a result of systematic destruction of all areas out of the Syrian regime’s control, where they were subjected to bombings and direct targeting with all types of weapons, in addition to targeting school-going children as a means of intimidation and pressure on their families to prevent them from sending their children to schools or educating them.
The Syrian Future Movement (SFM) strives with all its resources to ensure the continuation of our children’s education in Syria despite difficult circumstances. Among these efforts is the “Tawad” school chain affiliated with the SFM, which has never ceased and spared no effort in educating our children in Taiba camps from remedial education stages and formal schooling, and continues “by the will of God” to raise an educated generation capable of progress and reconstruction.
This week marks the end of the second term lessons for children numbering over 120 in the school built and equipped by technical and engineering teams within the Taiba assembly on the outskirts of Afrin, north of Aleppo, fully funded including operational costs by the SFM, to start next week a comprehensive examination for all subjects and grades after a year of effort and hardship, in an area previously devoid of education.
The “Tawad” school chain aims to lead a generation of children, especially in displacement camps far from schools, from ignorance and dropout to education and building a prosperous future for them, enabling them through it to have academic, scientific, and professional experiences that contribute to the development and advancement of society.
It is worth mentioning that the Syrian Future Movement (SFM) is one of the strong supporters and proponents of education, in line with its core principles that proper and healthy human development begins from school benches, to contribute in the future to building a conscious and balanced society that renounces violence and war and advocates for peace and love.
